Examples of commercial use
PMID (if known)
The PubMed ID for the article
Article Citation (cut and paste)
Please write out the complete and accurate bibliographic information for the material you wish to use, or cut and paste that information from another source such as the publisher’s web site. You may also paste here a link to the article. It is very important to identify the journal, volume and issue number, lead author, article title, and pages or DOI or some other reference that will correctly identify the article. When we reply we will identify the article we believe that you want at the top of our reply. If it is incorrect you will need to resubmit a new request.
Please note that it is your own responsibility to correctly and accurately identify the material you wish to use. For example, if requesting the use of a figure, please identify the number of the figure you wish to use from the previously published work, NOT the number of the figure in your new work.
Please also note that it is your own responsibility to check credit lines in the original work to be sure you are seeking permission from the correct party. For example, if a figure includes a legend or credit line that credits a party other than the publisher of the work (something like: “Used with the permission of….”), then a permission you receive from the publisher will be invalid and will not protect you from claims of infringement by the credited party.
